Connecting Through Sankofa
The Sankofa of Your Afrikan Personality Into Pan-Afrikanism
The Sankofa of Your Afrikan Personality Into Pan-Afrikanism

You know that feeling when you walk into a room, and everything just makes sense? That's what we're building here at Tomorrow, LLC. We believe that real understanding—the kind that changes how we see ourselves and each other—starts with connection. Not the surface-level kind, but the deep, member-to-member relationships that have always been at the heart of who we are as a people.
Through The Afrikan Personality Series, we're exploring the wisdom that's been with us all along—the ways of knowing, being, and relating that honor where we come from while lighting the path toward where we're going. This isn't just about reading books. It's about coming home to ideas that resonate in your bones.

Tomorrow, LLC exists to promote the Afrikan Personality—not as an abstract concept, but as a living, breathing framework for understanding ourselves and our world. We publish books that bridge the gap between rigorous scholarship and the conversations happening at your kitchen table, in your classroom, and in your community.
Founded by Dr. Tracy L. Johnson, our work draws on the intellectual traditions of scholars such as Dr. Edwin Nichols, Cheikh Anta Diop, John Henrik Clarke, and many others who've illuminated the path. But we're not just preserving their legacy—we're extending it, making it accessible, and applying it to the challenges and opportunities we face today.
A portion of our sales will be donated. Join our community and be the first to know about new releases, upcoming events, and insights from Dr. Johnson's ongoing research. We promise to respect your inbox—only the good stuff, delivered with care. 10% to 30% of sales will be donated to Akrikan-Centered Organizations.
I've spent my career at the intersection of education, research, and community. As a public school teacher, I've had the privilege of working with young people who challenge me to think more deeply and communicate more clearly every single day. A continuum of my life experiences—about identity, about history, about our place in the world—inspires everything I write.
My research focuses on Dr. Edwin Nichols's theory of the Philosophical Aspects of Cultural Differences—a framework that has fundamentally shaped how I understand the relationship between culture, values, and ways of knowing. Through The Afrikan Personality Series, I'm working to make these powerful ideas accessible to anyone seeking deeper understanding.
I've been honored to contribute to The 1619 Project's education materials, collaborate with the Pulitzer Center on arts and journalism initiatives, and work with National Geographic's Out of Eden Walk-Chicago project. I've presented my research at conferences, including the National Council for Black Studies and the Northeast Modern Language Association. But honestly? My favorite conversations happen in family community spaces, such as the National Council for Black Studies, Gwendolyn Brooks Permission, Council of International Black Institutions (CIBI), Association of People for Pan-Africanist Economic Advancement through Leverage (APPEAL), Inside the Teacher's Studio, Kenneth Addison Lecture Series – Spring 2025, and anywhere people gather to wrestle with ideas that matter.
When I'm not writing or teaching, you'll find me with my family. In my quiet personal time, I am thinking about the next volume in the series, exploring, or having long conversations about culture, history, and possibility.
We'd love to hear from you. Whether you have questions about our books, want to discuss a potential collaboration, or just want to share how The Afrikan Personality Series has impacted your thinking, we're here for it.
